SMS Program Terms and Conditions

Effective August 1, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the Phoenix Fire Mountain Rescue Dispatch Alerts SMS program (the "Program"), operated by Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association ("we," "us," or "our"). By opting in, you agree to these Terms.

Program description

The Program sends SMS text alerts related to mountain rescue dispatch, scheduling, and operational coordination to CAMRA members and affiliated rescue personnel who have opted in. Messages are sent by an automated alerting system operated by CAMRA.

How to join

You may opt in at mountainrescue.org/sms-signup by entering your name and mobile number and checking the consent box agreeing to receive SMS alerts from Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association. The consent box is not checked by default.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on dispatch and scheduling activity and is not fixed or recurring on a set schedule.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, as determined by your mobile carrier and plan. There is no charge from Central Arizona Mountain Rescue Association to participate in the Program. Consent is not a condition of membership, participation, or any purchase.

Opt-out

Reply STOP at any time to any message to cancel your participation in the Program. You will receive one final confirmation message.

Carrier liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Use of your information is governed by our SMS Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or opt-in consent with third parties.

Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the Program after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
